From the Washington Post: Tulane Sociologist Daivd Smilde comments on propaganda in Venezuelan media
Dr. David Smilde, the Charles A. and Leo M. Favrot Professor of Human Relations and Senior Associate Fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research at Tulane University, recently spoke with the Washington Post, and commented on barrage of propaganda on state media in an effort to conceal the extent of the crisis in Venezuela. Smilde notes that the Venezuelan government is unwilling to admit the extent of the crisis as it may provide a compelling argument for military intervention.
