Summer in Brazil: Finals Week

As the 2024 Summer in Brazil program comes to a close, students are finishing their classes and preparing for finals. Our summer correspondents, Olivia Shackelford and Mali Weitzman, are using their last weeks in São Paulo to explore the city and spend time with the people they have met during the program while focusing on finals. Summer in Brazil is a 6-week summer program sponsored by the Stone Center for Latin American Studies at Tulane University and the Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies at Vanderbilt University. It caters to graduate and undergraduate students who wish to achieve a high-level of Portuguese fluency through immersion in Brazilian culture.
