PORTTulane and BRASA Decorate Brazil-themed House-Float for Mardi Gras 2021
Despite the pandemic, city shut-down, and freezing cold temperatures, we’re still celebrating this special holiday that links our city with cities and towns across Latin America. Last Friday, the Tulane Portuguese community came together with the new student organization BRASA to create a Yardi Gras house float honoring Carnaval in Brazil.
Watch the float take shape on the corner of Broadway and Birch. And if you’re in New Orleans, swing by to check out the final project in person!
Thanks to Prof. Megwen Loveless and BRASA treasurer Francesco Russo for organizing and hosting and to LAST graduate student William Penniman for creating this amazing video!
