Paolo Sosa Villagarcia

Paolo Sosa Villagarcia holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Peruvian Studies. He has held research fellowships at the Peruvian Economic and Social Research Consortium, Yale University, the University of British Columbia, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, and the Electoral Integrity Project. From 2014 to 2021, he was the country coordinator for Peru for the Varieties of Democracy Project V-Dem. In 2024, he received the international and interdisciplinary Social Contract XXI Award from the Maison Rousseau et Littérature in Geneva, Switzerland.
