Omayra Peña Jimenez

Omayra Peña Jimenez is an MA student in Latin American Studies. She holds a bachelor's degree and a licenciatura in political science from Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University, Peru. Her undergraduate thesis on organic banana producers in the Peruvian export agroindustry sector was awarded and published by the Economic and Social Research Consortium of Peru (CIES). She is also a researcher at the Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP). Her research focuses on illegal and informal economies, urban studies, and their links with political representation.
