Latin American Studies graduate published in American Sociological Review

Jennifer Triplett published an article in top journal American Sociological Review last month. Triplett received her B.A. and M.A. in Latin American Studies from Tulane University. You can read her work, “Articulating the Pueblo Cubano: Women’s Politicization and Productivity in Revolutionary Cuba, 1959 to 1969,” here.

Presently, Triplett is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Michigan. Her academic interests include political sociology, cultural sociology, comparative-historical sociology, and Latin America. She primarily studies how the intersection of politics and culture shapes identities and affects inequality. Her dissertation research examines the relationship between events and sociocultural processes of revolutionary consolidation, focusing on the case of Cuba in the 1960s.

Congratulations to Triplett for this achievement!
