Biography
Juliana Saporito Taddone joined Tulane in 2025. Born in Brazil, she began her career in administrative and financial roles before transitioning to the communications field. She earned a B.A. in Journalism in São Paulo in 2008 and moved to New Orleans in 2016 to pursue a master's degree in Sociology. As a journalist, she volunteered at the United Nations headquarters in New York, worked in Strategic Communications and Editorial roles for several industries, and specialized in Olympic Games and sports coverage.
At the Stone Center for Latin American Studies, Juliana manages the daily operations and personnel needs, overseeing financial administration, budget management, and facilities operations while serving as a liaison with university departments, including Budget, Accounting, Payroll, and Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountability for all administrative operations, including financial management, human resource management, property, equipment, facilities administration, information, and technology management.

Management of the daily operations of the Stone Center such as initiating, overseeing, and approving personnel matters.
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Center Staff, and University Administrators in the development, preparation, and implementation of the Stone Center's institutional operational budgets and long-range fiscal plans.
- Supervise the budget and finances of the Stone Center, ensuring that transactions conform to University, donor, foundation, and agency guidelines.

Oversees payments and reimbursements, honoraria, and purchases of the Stone Center.
