Uptown Campus

Global Cafe Flyer

Tulane's Global Café is channeling Pelourinho by hosting an OLODUM dance workshop in Pocket Park outside of the LBC.

Olodum is a bloco afro based in Salvador that performs in the infectious samba reggae style. It is a percussive wall of sound! Carolyn Barber-Pierre, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Intercultural Life and co-founder of Casa Samba and Annie Gibson, Director of Study Abroad and samba dancer and ethnographer, will lead a workshop teaching some of Olodum's best choreographed routines.

Co-Sponsored by the Center for Intercultural Life, the Office of Study Abroad, and PORTulane.
