The Roger Thayer Stone Center for Latin American Studies at Tulane University is one of the largest and most prestigious interdisciplinary units on campus and offers a range of academic pathways for students interested in the region. Graduate students can pursue a Master of Arts or a Doctor of Philosophy in Latin American Studies in a customized program designed around individual research interests. Our affiliate faculty have particular strengths in Economics, Politics & Society, and Arts, Media, Culture & Politics, as well as strong regional expertise in Brazilian, Cuban, and Caribbean Studies. The Stone Center also collaborates across the University to offer joint professional degree programs, including the MA/JD with the Law School, the MA/MBA with the Business School, and a joint PhD in Latin American Studies and Art History.
