A diverse group of scholars will present work that reflects the general themes of Professor Dangler’s research over the years, including women in medieval literatures, the connections between nonmodern literature, healing, and medicine, and more recently, the literatures of al-Andalus and the integration of Andalusi writers in the scholarly treatment of medieval Iberia’s cultural production, history, and legacy. Sponsored by the Center for Scholars of the School of Liberal Arts, the Newcomb Institute, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Middle Eastern and North African Studies, and Medieval & Early Modern Studies at Tulane University. Open to the public.
