Robbie Dean (’12), 12:15 pm 

Robbie is the Director of Research, Evaluation, and Network Learning for Teach For All, an organization whose mission is to expand educational opportunities internationally by providing direct support services and serving as a hub for the exchange of educational best practices. In addition to his work with TFA, Robbie will discuss his work as an educational consultant for the World Bank, his work conducting monitoring and evaluation for IMPAQ, a global policy research and analytics firm, and his start as a bilingual educator with Teach for America. 

 


Nikki Stoumen (’16), 2 pm

Nikki is currently a master’s candidate in the Human Rights and International Law program at NYU. Nikki will share her research experience with this program, where she conducted interviews with women in Kurdistan and Federal Iraq and presented findings to the UN and Colombia for a Participatory Action Research (PAR) project. Prior to grad school, Nikki worked for Assistant Asylum Access in Mexico City Area, advocating for refugees. She was the DOJ Immigration Representative at Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services, representing immigrants in proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
