Our Educator Book Club was created in conjunction with our Latinx Voices Author Series in 2021. The group’s monthly meetings and discussions help to inform the topics and questions to be discussed the night of the event. During past author visits, book club members were invited to lunch with the author. More recently, the book club has expanded to include Américas Award-winning texts.
Club members come from diverse professional backgrounds, including librarians (from both public and school libraries), community organizers, and educators teaching various grades and subjects throughout New Orleans.
