Biography
Diego Hudson is an environmental justice activist, educator, and researcher dedicated to protecting coastal ecosystems and defending public beach access for frontline communities. Grounded in frameworks of environmental justice, and community-led conservation programs, his current work focuses on safeguarding shoreline rights, resisting coastal privatization, and amplifying the voices of marginalized populations facing the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation in Puerto Rico. Combining grassroots organizing with deep socio-historical context, spatial research and participatory mapping, Diego works to ensure that environmental preservation goes hand in hand with equitable public access, traditional ecological knowledge, and community sovereignty.
