Cecily Montgomery

Cecily earned a bachelor's degree from Tulane University in International Relations and International Development. She previously worked in immigration advocacy, supporting young people as they navigated the legal process after arriving in the United States. More recently, she facilitated experiential learning programs, leading adolescents on educational travel experiences both within the U.S. and abroad. These experiences sparked her interest in immigration justice and the rights of children and youth. Cecily's academic interests center on social movements in Latin America, the ways communities organize around resource rights, and how these efforts shape policy change.
