Biography

Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Elliott stayed in-state to complete his undergraduate studies in Environmental Management at Indiana University. After graduation and a few far-off travels, Elliott joined the Peace Corps where he served as a environmental science teacher in the mountains of Nicaragua for 2 years. Following a long bus ride home from Central America, Elliott landed in Denver, Colorado. He began a position with Water For People, an international development non-profit working in the water and sanitation sector, for 2 years while skiing and climbing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. While at Tulane, Elliott focused his research on the challenges that exist to reaching lasting, sustainable solutions in international development work in Latin America. Elliott earned his M.A. in Latin American Studies from Tulane in May 2014.
