Still/Motion: The Festival of Photography in Film celebrates photography at its intersection with cinema, especially as it relates to other fascinating subjects: history, mystery, family, humanity, global and local environment, and cutout animation.  This one-day festival at the Broad Theater showcases three feature films, one Louisiana short film, and a special event with New Orleans filmmaker Simon Blake.  Special guests include photography curator/director Trisha Ziff, and PhotoNOLA award recipient and short film subject Ben Depp.  The films feature photographic works of Sebastião Salgado, Robert Capa, Gerda Taro, David “Chim” Seymour, Joel-Peter Witkin and Ben Depp.

Still/Motion is a collaboration among ArtSpanNOLA, PhotoNOLA, and the Broad Theater.
