Join us for a visit and roundtable discussion with Grammy-nominated Afro-Cuban Rockstar Cimafunk. His latest album, El Alimento, was nominated at the 2023 GRAMMY Awards for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album.

Cimafunk is a Cuban-based artist in town for a music festival and will visit Tulane on Tuesday, April 25, at 3:30 pm (Hebert Hall 201). Cimafunk's work is part of a Black musical tradition in Cuba, and he is in town promoting musical performances between Cuba and New Orleans. He is bringing a few students from Cuba's leading performance arts academy who will help demonstrate some of his work.
