Please join us in welcoming Eyal Weinberg, from the University of Texas at Austin, who will be presenting on his research in a presentation titled In the Name of National Security: Doctors and Repression under Military Brazil on Monday, November 20, 2017, in the Greenleaf Conference Room, Jones Hall 100A.

Weinberg is a Ph.D. Candidate in the history department at University of Texas at Austin, whose research focuses on the intersection of the medical sector and state-sponsored repression under the Brazilian military regime (1964-1985). He is also the Graduate Research Assistant at University of Texas at Austin’s Institute for Historical Studies, and the coordinator of the Institute’s New Work in Progress Series. Weinberg received his B.A. in History from Tel Aviv University and his M.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin
