Dr. Robert Arellano, Professor and Professor and Director of the Center for Emerging Media and Digital Arts at the University of Southern Oregon, presents a talk titled “Stairway to Heaven: AIDS and Resistance in Cuba’s Friki Generation‘€

Dr. Arellano is the author of six novels, including Sunshine ‘€™69, the first interactive novel published on the internet in 1996. In 2000, he organized Rock the Blockade, which broad a group of artists and musicians to Cuba for a series of concerts.

Co-sponsored by Cuban and Caribbean Studies, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, and the Stone Center for Latin American Studies. Free and open to the public.
