Visiting Scholar Programs
The Stone Center for Latin American Studies, the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research, and The Latin American Library administer several programs that support residencies of visiting scholars at Tulane University.
The Richard E. Greenleaf Distinguished Chair in Latin American Studies brings to campus pre-eminent scholars and professionals, including scientists, writers, artists, and public officials, who are distinguished in their fields and can contribute positively to the Tulane academic community through teaching, research, and interactions with Latin Americanist faculty and students.
The Richard E. Greenleaf Scholar-in-Residence is a program designed to bring rising, mid-career scholars in Latin American Studies to spend one or two semester(s) at the Stone Center.
The Visiting Scholars Program occasionally sponsors one or two visiting Latin Americanist doctoral students or scholars who seek a nominal affiliation with Tulane University for purposes of conducting their own independent research.
