New Research by CIPR Mid-Career Fellow Gabriel Vommaro Explores Argentina's Political Landscape in Americas Quarterly

News from the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research

The Center for Inter-American Policy and research is excited to share the news about the recent publication by CIPR Mid-Career Fellow Gabriel Vommaro, Ph.D., featured in Americas Quarterly. Dr. Vommaro, with Ernesto Calvo, Ph.D., Gabriel Kessler, and María Victoria Murillo, offers valuable insights into Argentina's political landscape, mainly focusing on the core voters of Javier Milei, Argentina's current president from the libertarian party, La Libertad Avanza. Based on a national survey, this research shows how Milei's voters are disproportionately young and male and debunks the idea of angry, disaffected voters who disagree with the president's radical political ideas.
