Each year the Latin American Resource Center offers teachers the chance to participate in the Tulane Maya Symposium and Workshop by either attending the teacher's workshop portion and/or attending the full weekend conference.

For each of the Teachers Workshop at Maya Symposium, original curriculum is developed. Some of the lecture materials and workshop activities designed for these workshops are now available here for public use.

Topics from the workshop include:

o an Introduction to Ancient Maya Mounuments and Architecture by Markus Eberl (This is a PowerPoint Slide Show).

o The Maya Ballgame PowerPoint Presentation- This presentation includes images and notes.

o The Mesoamerican Ballgame- Description of the ballgame covering its Pre-Columbian origins, equipment, stakes of the game, rites and rituals, and much more.
