Stone Center for Latin American Studies Award Ceremony The annual Awards Ceremony, presented by the Stone Center for Latin American Studies, is conducted in recognition of Latinamericanist students and professors for their hard work and scholarship. The
Pebbles Center Inauguration Ceremony In an effort to expand community awareness about Latin America, the Stone Center is leading an initiative in the New Orleans Public Library that places a resource in one of the branches. This resource center, or Pebbles, will offer books and multimedia items, as well as community events related to Latin America. Caribbean

out as a central defining characteristic of the Caribbean imaginary.
