Bring Latin American Speakers to Your Classroom

For many years the LARC has been a clearinghouse for speakers on Latin America. Teachers and organizations from all over the greater New Orleans area have had our Latin American Studies graduate and undergraduate students visit their classrooms to speak.  We encourage visits with not only Spanish classes, but also Social Studies, History, Art, Music and any other subject in which the study of Latin America is (or could be) an important component.  The topics available depend on the diverse interests of our students, so at the beginning of each semester, an updated list of speakers, their expertise, and request forms will be sent out to our local mailing list or email listserve

Bring the excitement of first-hand experience in Latin America into your classroom.  Invite a Latin American Studies Student to share their experiences and expertise.
