Please join Professor Robert J. Miller, Indian law expert and author of Native America, Discovered and Conquered: Thomas Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, and Manifest Destiny and co-author of Discovering Indigenous Lands: The Doctrine of Discovery in the English Colonies, in his discussion of the international law principle the Doctrine of Discovery and how it came to be applied to American Indian tribes and incorporated into American colonial, state, and federal law to diminish tribal sovereignty and property rights.
