Stone Center Alum Denise Frazier Appointed Director of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Education at Wofford College

Dr. Denise Frazier has been selected to serve as Wofford College’s director of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Education.

“Dr. Frazier has injected energy and creativity into our community through her work as a faculty member in our Spanish program. She will now focus on extending her reach across the entire campus,” says Dean of the College David Wood.

Frazier will work closely with the Student Affairs Office to plan programs and activities designed to enrich the student experience at the college.

Frazier earned both her master’s and doctoral degrees from Tulane University with a focus on Latin American literary and cultural studies. Her talents range from the scholarly to the performing arts and include violin, dance, vocals and more.

Dr. Frazier earned both her MA (2005) and her Ph.D. (2009) from the Stone Center focusing her dissertation on the cultural influence of street performance and public space in Brazil and Cuba.

Wofford College is located in Spartanburg, SC.
