The Pebbles Center, a partnership between the Stone Center for Latin American Studies at Tulane University and the New Orleans Public Library, is a valuable resource for Spanish-speaking parents in New Orleans and for the general public.

Located at the library’s Children’s Resource Center at 913 Napoleon Ave., the Pebbles Center was founded in April of 2004, offering resources and opportunities to experience the rich diversity of Latin America and its peoples. The center has a collection of more than 500 Spanish language books, music, videos and DVDs that anyone may borrow if they have a New Orleans library card. The collection includes films and curriculum units for teachers, and DVDs from the Dora the Explorer series and Baby Einstein in English and Spanish.
