Andrés Roldán Tonioni

Visiting Research Scholar

Andrés Roldán is a PhD student at the University of Chile and a visiting at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research. Here he will be preparing his doctoral dissertation with the support of Dr. Eduardo Silva. He studies social movements and citizen participation. His PhD research focuses on changes in Chilean students’ social movements from 2013 to 2017, the intensity of protests and the relationships between student organizing and political actors.
André has a PhD student fellowship at the Chilean government’s Comisión Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONICYT).
