Teaching Latin America through New Orleans
100 A Jones Hall, Tulane University
This workshop will focus on the longstanding connections between New Orleans and Latin America. The workshop will focus on culture, food, history, and economic connections between the two areas.

Ancient Maya Landscapes
New Orleans Museum of Art
Our annual collaboration with the Middle American Research Institute to present an educator workshop on the ancient Maya in collaboration with the Tulane Maya Symposium. This year we will be back at the New Orleans Museum of Art exploring resources for teaching about the Maya including literature, graphic novels, and designing interactive lessons while taking advantage of our setting in a museum with a collection of Mesoamerican objects.

Teaching Haiti
100 A Jones Hall, Tulane University
This workshop will focus on one of the less frequently studied nations of Latin America, Haiti. While Haiti is geographically close to many other areas, it has a distinct heritage from the rest of Latin America, as it was a French colony. Learn more about how to integrate Haiti into your classroom!
