Newcomb-Tulane College presents Randal Johnson, Distinguished Profess, UCLA, in a lecture on “Class and Social Change in Contemporary Brazilian Cinema.” Randal Johnson is a leading scholar of Brazilian cinema and culture and former director of the UCLA Latin American Institute. He is author or editor of 89 books. His presentation will address issues of social class in recent Brazilian films such as O som ao redor, Casa Grande, and Que horas ela volta?
