Carlos Yushimito is a Peruvian writer, considered one the most prominent literary young figures of Latin America. He has published four fiction books and a book of essays with Peruvian and Spanish publishers. He is widely recognized as a talented short story writer. In 2010 he was considered one of the best writers of the Spanish language under 35 by Granta magazine. His short stories have been translated into French, Portuguese, Italian and English (“A brilliant revelation”, The Times). Besides his mastery in writing fiction, Carlos Yushimito is also a scholar. He is finishing his doctoral studies at Brown University and researches Latin American narrative.
