The Middle American Research institute is happy to present the second Brown Bag of the 2015-2016 academic year. David Freidel, Professor of Anthropology at Washington University in Saint Louis, will present at talk entitled “Kaanul and Waka’, Some Informal Thoughts” about his ongoing research on the ancient Maya of western Guatemala.

M.A.R.I.‘s Brown Bag talk series is meant to provide a venue for students and faculty focusing on topics related to Mesoamerica to discuss their latest research in an informal and friendly setting.
