William Copeland and John McGuire report from San Jose, Costa Rica on the promotion of Costa Rican culture in the face of globalization, particularly the role of the ministry of culture. They emphasize the cultural diversity of Costa Rica and the role of the ministry in promoting a variety of different cultural traditions.
