Dr. Tomas Barrientos Q., Director of the Archaeology Department at the Universidad del Valle, Guatemala and co-director of the Proyecto Regional Arqueologica La Corona (PRALC), will present a paper entitled “Pre-Columbian Heritage and Indigenous Communities in Central America: The Role of Archaeology in the 21st Century “ which will discuss the role of archaeology in modern-day indigenous identity in Central America.
