Location
Greenleaf Conference Room, 100A Jones Hall

Please join us for a lecture by Professor Timothy Power, Director of Graduate Studies in Politics at Oxford University. “Brazilian Democracy from Lula to Dilma” explores changes in Brazilian democracy over the past decade, with special attention to the legacy of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and to the elections of 2010 that were won by his chosen successor, Dilma Rousseff. In addition to examining the interplay between government and opposition during the emergence of Brazil’s new sociopolitical model, the lecture evaluates the policy making process during the first 18 months of Dilma’s government.
