Nora Lustig Publishes in LASA Summer Newsletter

July 27th, 2012

Professor Nora Lustig, an associate research fellow of CIPR, and Luis F. Lopez Calvo, Chief Economist at the UNDP, have published an article in the Summer 2012 issue of the LASA Forum. The article, titled “The Decline in Inequality in Latin America: the Role of the Markets and the State” explores the decrease of earnings inequality and non-labor income inequality and whether or not the region is moving in a redistributive direction. This article is based on the book Declining Inequality in Latin America: a Decade of Progress? by Lustig and Lopez and the working paper "The Decline in Inequality in Latin America: How Much, Since When and Why" by Nora Lustig, Luis Lopez and Eduardo Ortiz. Full text of the article can be found here.
